Otsuka Pharmaceutical Development & Commercialization, Inc. This will enable Otsuka to advance clinical trials of its investigational compound OPC-167832, in combination with its delamanid (DELTYBA® is the brand name where approved outside the U.S.) and Johnson & Johnson’s bedaquiline (SIRTURO® is the brand name), for patients with drug-susceptible pulmonary tuberculosis (DS-TB).

Akebia Therapeutics, Inc. and Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) accepted for filing the New Drug Application (NDA) for vadadustat for the treatment of anemia due to chronic kidney disease (CKD) in both adult patients on dialysis and adult patients not on dialysis.
