As Senior Vice President, COO and CFO, Ed is responsible for all areas of Channel Strategy & Patient Support, Data & Analytics, Finance, Information Technology, Digital Medicine Strategy, Technical Operations and Business Services.
Across his career, Ed has found his passion in leading organizations through transformational challenges, including international expansions, new product launches, financial/operational turnarounds, mergers & acquisitions, resource prioritization and strategy creation. Prior to joining Otsuka in 2015, Ed was Vice President, Finance, Clinical Development and Commercialization Services at Covance (a division of LabCorp). He also held a variety of positions of increasing responsibilities at Johnson & Johnson, Sanofi-Aventis, Organon/Schering-Plough and Mylan. His background includes leadership positions across a broad spectrum of financial, commercial, partnership/alliance governance, and operational roles, including eight years working abroad in the Netherlands and Russia. Throughout his work, Ed prides himself on bringing lasting positive cultural change and purpose to his organizations.
He received his BA in finance from Towson University and his MBA from the University of Baltimore. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in the State of New Jersey and a Certified Management Accountant.
Outside of work, Ed is actively involved on two non-profit Boards, including serving as the Treasurer of American Foundation of Suicide Prevention in NYC and on the Board of Trustees of Arts Council of Princeton.
