Otsuka Pharmaceutical Development & Commercialization, Inc. (OPDC) is part of the Otsuka Group (Otsuka).

OPDC is a leader in the research and clinical development of healthcare products. Established in January 2007, OPDC was formed by merging two Otsuka organizations: Otsuka Maryland Research Institute, Inc. (originally established in 1985) and OAPI's Global Development & Commercialization Division. The company was tasked with driving the development and subsequent launch of Otsuka's pharmaceutical products on a global basis.

OPDC develops drug candidates following initial discovery of a compound through life cycle management. The organization develops a strategy and plan that will lead to global registration and marketing of the product. OPDC conducts high-quality clinical studies in diversified therapeutic areas and is the cornerstone of Otsuka's global drug development and commercialization efforts.
